Daniela Marin (b. 1992, Bogotá, Colombia) is a multimedia artist making works that explore the boundaries between painting and sculpture and the dialogue between color and shape. Marin’s work also investigates portraiture and human emotion. She received a B.F.A. in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design, in fall 2015. She was awarded First Place in the Senior B.F.A. Painting Exhibition at Alexander Hall Gallery, Savannah, GA and acquired a Magna Cum Laude award.

In 2024, Marin’s work was commissioned as public art for the city of Englewood, CO and is currently on display at Yale & Broadway. Marin has participated in Art Basel Week represented by Gallery at Avalon Island, Aqua Expo, Miami, FL. and has exhibited her work the Museum of Outdoor Arts, Denver, CO.

Marin performed with Mwangi Hutter for the deFINE ART at the SCAD Museum of Art and was part of Immediate Surroundings at Gustein Gallery, Savannah, GA. Marin also co-curated Project Liminal at Indigo Sky Gallery, Awarded best show of the year by Savannah’s Art Informer.

During her early career, Marin was an intern at de la Cruz Collection, Contemporary Art Space, Miami, Florida, David Castillo Gallery, Miami, Florida, Non Fiction Gallery and Davenport House Museum, Savannah, GA. Marin worked as a floor manager at NADA (New Art Dealers Alliance) during Art Basel Week in Miami Beach 2015. In 2015 Marin started working as a muralist and scenic artist and has since worked on projects for Disney, Universal Studios, National Geographic, HGTV, Circ du Soleil, Nintendo Land, and others. Marin lead the paint team for the 2 million dollar project of Beauty and the Beast in Disneyland Tokyo. Her scenic work can be seen in Singapoure, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Orlando, MIami, Chicago, Bogota, and other cieites in Colombia.

Marin Currently lives and works in Chicago.
